The Compulsory 1st Month Botakness

Well as you know, every newborn 1st month is to shave their head. My son is no different. So my mom took my son to an Indian shop to shave his.

Harry Porter Junior

There is a small Z mark on top of my son’s left forehead just above his eyebrows. I asked the doctor what happened. She said your son is Harry Porter……Actually I made it up myself. It was caused by the forceps which was used to grasp his head during the operation.

I was wondering

If there are really 4000 harmful chemicals in cigarettes, how come no companies are extracting these chemicals for other uses? Example, if 1 chemical costs 1 Ringgit, with 4000 harmful chemicals in cigarettes, it would fetch in 4000 ringgit if someone were to extract these chemicals for commercial uses.

Make me wonder how true are the warning on those cigarettes boxes nowadays. Isn't the tobacco dried, cut and then inserted into filter tubes to make cigarettes? Where the hell does these chemicals comes from? Or did some tobacco companies decided to add in all these 4000 other ingredients to the cigarettes we smoke?

Might as well allow us to grow our own tobacco or weed. At least it saves those tobacco company all these additional costs of adding chemicals. Ours might just be more healthier. (^^)

Credit Cards Parade

Honestly, how many times have you been pestered by credit card sales persons while you are doing shopping in some malls? Don't you find them annoying? I know they are trying to earn a living, sometimes its just damn annoying.

Imagine I have a credit card from ABC bank, and every now then I get approached from the same bank again and again asking me to apply credit card. Honestly, how many cards must I get to satisfy all these banks? I wouldn't mind having all cards from all banks, but the bottom line is that I have to pay for whatever I spent. Unless the bank is giving me free money, else, I won't even want a single card from them from now onwards.

Fed up with their undying ethics, I had come up with a 1 word solution to all these problems.

"Blacklisted"

Simple, short and sweet. Then they will just walk away quietly. No more pestering. I find it quite effective against these card sales.

Try it out next time, you'll be surprised.

Sucker Again

You know, I’m quiet a fan of gadget. Especially 3Cs products. And today while surfing the web, I saw this made in China phone. Can be considered a 2Cs into 1 product.

Comes with a 10M pixels camera with 3x Zoom and Xenon Flash. I don’t think there’s player in the market making cellphones with such specs. Or maybe there’s one in planning.

Anyway, just to show a few pictures for now.

ASM

You know, suddenly, there are tons of ASM units to be sold to the people of Malaysia nowadays. ASM, we buy from Government. We get interests. Sounds like a good investment to me. But looking it at another angle, it seems like the Government are borrowing money from the people. And the Government pay the people interests. Suddenly we became Ah-Longs :)

The equation here doesn’t seems right to me. Therefore, I’m not going to invest in any ASM.

P/S: This post is just personal comments. It is not a deciding factor on whether you buy or condemned that ASM is not good for you.

My Parents

You know, time flies before you know it. Looking past me, I’m already 31 coming to 32. It seems like yesterday I was still a 17-18 old kid, walking from my house to ‘teach’ some one how to use a computer. Started my first actual job in Malaysia, going to work in Singapore. Then BOOM!!!! I’m gonna be a dad next :)

Looking back, which always contains memories of all sorts. I decided to start this blog to keep track of what has happened all my life. Keeping records so that my children may one day understand how his father lived. This might be the only source I would have to keep my ‘legacy’ alive.

Thus this post is dedicated to my parents. From their youth till now.

Ron 92

With rumors that prices of Ron97 fuels going to be higher starting July. I made a drastic yet simple move.
  1. I read through my Myvi manual. Found that fuel with Ron90 and above is suitable for my car engine.
  2. Go to Mobil station near my house, filled the car up with 30l of Ron92 petrol, saving RM3 per tankful.
And after 3 tankfuls, no difference in performance and mileage for my car. If my car can go on Ron92 petrol, I didn't see why it cannot take Ron95 petrol which the Government is going to introduced in Sept 2009.

Anyway, expected the prices of Ron97 is RM2 and Ron95 is RM1.75 per litre by Sept 2009. For every 30l, I would save RM7.50 per tankful. And if I filled my car up 6 times in a month, I would have saved RM45 per month, and in a year saved RM540.

Quarantined

I'm officially quarantined from my wife for the last 2 days. No, I did not get swine flu or meningitis. I'm downed with Ayam Pox. With a pregnant woman around me while I'm having chicken pox is really dangerous to the unborn.

Can't do much actually, even now I have to be extra alert in keeping my wife at a safe distance from me. Cleaning the toilet bowl after every visit so that no one can get the virus from me.

These are craps, for the first 31 yrs of my life, it seems that the chicken pox virus always eluded me. And now..........

Now my whole body from top to till are blisters. Hopefully I can keep my hands to myself, without breaking to much blisters to leave scars on my body.

Ups and Downs

10 years ago, I only had 50 dollars in my wallet for the whole month. 10 years later, I virtually had almost 20 times more every week. I remembered that Nick used to buy me cigarettes during my down times. I had to sit at home for 1 year before i managed to get a job in Singapore.

Spending a few years there, I returned to Malaysia. After working for IBM and now with this company of mine. My life sure has a lot of ups and downs which I will not waste time writing everyone of them down.

Else my heart would be beating as fast as the small one in my wife’s tummy now.

From a youngster who never thinks much of the future, to a young man trying to carve his career path, to a middle aged man who is going to be a father at the end of this year.

Gosh…this life of mine is moving faster then the speed of light.

Well, this is the first time I joined the company for my first ever family day event. Both of us woke up at 6.30am to make our 1 hr drive to A’Fmosa. And I missed my exit to A’Famosa. Making an U-turn at Melaka.

A Very Late Food Post

Its been months since I've returned from Guilin. After 2 weeks there, how can I survived there with those people eating rats, horse meat and dog meat? Nah, actually most of those mentioned are only eaten by some exquisite people there.

For a guy like me, so big in size, many of you may wondered how can I survive there for 2 weeks. Well, for almost every meal, I had this.

A rice noodle dish which is easily available in almost every part of Guilin. You can either have it dry or soup. Not disgusting at all. In fact, I love it. Rice noodles topped with fried pork similar to our Siew Yoke, spicy sour bean sprouts and bamboo shoots. A must try for everyone going there.

Well, we did have a meal at a quite established restaurant. Although its not very spectacular, but it's nice to have a change.

With almost everything edible in China, I wouldn't want to try those pig penises.

Btw, the 2 large skewers with curly meat are the pig penises.

Still the simplest food is the best for me.

Trip to Ipoh

Its almost 1.5 years since I've last came to Ipoh. I've always like the simple lifestyle here. Sleepy and quiet town. Doesn't have as much traffic as in KL. My wife had bugged me numerous of times to bring her to this town since we've mentioned in front of her so many times. And after 1.5hrs drive, we've reached my uncle's house.

And this little joy greeted us.

Now I'm gonna have a headache with my wife pestering me for a baby.

Too Long

Having a long leave without much to do is real boring. Everyday sleep, eat, watch, repeating everything everyday. Luckily most of the important things that I had to do are done.

Anyway, my wedding dinner will most probably held in May or June.
