Warning

DO NOT go to Carrefour Kepong nowadays. The place is filled with credit card sales persons. No matter where you are, they will follow you like a vengeful ghost. I was approached by 6 of them. Hong Leong, Citibank, Standchart, OCBC, RHB, Public Bank. They are like vultures.

Be warned, unless you want to have a collection of credit cards or tipu some free gifts.

Crazy Price

Imagine 7 months ago, a 1GB SD card costs $110. Today, a 1GB miniSD card costs only $45. In the end, I bought 2. 1 for my number 2 and 1 for my digital camera/HP.

Maybe in another 6 months, a 2GB card may cost only $40 per piece.

2nd Try At Escargots

It has been years since I last had my first bite at an escargot. I remembered the last time I had them, they taste a bit weird. Although topped with a lot of garlics, I still find them strange. And chewing the thing is just like chewing cowhide. Very crunchy, some might say. I though I might never like escargots again. But I was wrong, until I had my supper at this restuarant at Desa Petaling. We ordered a dozen and I was to take 4 of those creepy crawlies. Before I sink my teeth into these edible snails, I'm breaking cold sweat. After I had the first bite, OMG I was in heaven. The taste is so fine. I gobbled up 4 of them in no time. Makes me craving for more.So next round if I'm going to have escargots, I'll only have them at that particular restuarant.

(O_o)??

I think a baby talks better then he does. Maybe its the steroids that is causing this, or maybe the bands on his arm is cutting off supply to his brain like what Edge said at the end of this clip.

8)

This is one funny shit.

I wonder are there recordings similar to this done in Malaysia or not. Not on the Halal issues, but just kacauing some people.

Want Some?

Does looking at these makes your mouth water? Normally if your family buys them now, they never have the chance to see the day of the Chinese New Year.

Officially 29 Today

Today, 25th January 2007, I'm officially 29yrs old. Time really flies, it has been 11 years since I knew Uncle Nick, 6 years since I first went to Singapore to work, 3 years since I spoke Malay while at work.

Everything has been passing me so fast, like a flash. It seems like yesterday I've just started working my first job as a sales person. Throughout these years, I've learnt a lot of things, so much more when I'm a teenager. I'll continue to learn for years to come, in terms of life and work.

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!

Copycat or Follower

People are always like that, when they have knew some thing is good, they will try to imitate. Like for example, this......容易记(means Easy-To-Remember). I believed that the owner are trying to copy the name of the Kepong's famous 好易记.

I wondered are there any names like 不想记 or 懒得记. (^^)

Part Time

Now whenever I'm free, I'll be stationed here at this store.

Can anyone guess where this place is?

Nokia N95

With so many gadgets in 1 small body, how much does the Nokia N95 worth? With GPS, 5MP Digital Camera, WIFI, FM, blah blah blah.
Let's break all the items down if I were to buy them individually. Prices are my rough estimation.

GPS Device - Costs between RM 1500-2000
5MP Digital Camera with 3X Zoom and Flash - RM 1000
A FM radio - RM 40
A WIFI PDA - RM 900
And all those blah blah blah costs about RM 500 total.

So it makes a grand total of RM 3940.

Expected this N95 to cost around USD 700, which is equivalent to RM 2520. If that is the actual price that it is gonna be retailing. I'll be the first one drooling over the display counters. (^^)

But normally Nokia distributors in Malaysia are gonna make the price fixed at around RM 3000.

Its Decided

The two main items that I wanted now is a SE K800i and a Nokia N95. But first, study the price of these 2 phones closely before making the purchase. Especially the N95, so much features in such a small form factor. GPS, WIFI, FM, MP3 Player, 5MP Digital Camera.

As for the K800i, price is coming down. Still waiting for a more attractive price before actioning.

So I'm gonna have 2 new phones soon.

$2.50

A big portion of nasi lemak, lots of gravy, a big egg at a "small" price for a skinny eater.

(^^)

When you see your mom preparing this, you know that Chinese New Year is coming and your are going to enjoy eating 芽菇.

Now lets hope that they can last till Chinese New Year.

Travelling Plans

In the coming few months, I'll be buying guide books for Macau, Hong Kong, Bangkok, China's Guangzhou, Wuhan and Guilin. Besides the places I'd mentioned above, I would also like to go to places which Airasia is flying. Like Bali, Phuket, Hanoi etc.

So....Airasia is going to be my travel pal.

These are the places that I wanted to go starting mid of this year. So now its money saving first.

From the information that I found on the Internet, these places have so much things to see and do. Especially China. From Guangzhou to Wuhan, its about 1200KM. (O_o)

It is twice the distance of Penisular Malaysia.

If I managed to go to travelling, I'll be writing a lot for this blog of mine. Till that time, maybe I'll need to have some forms of data entry device, like a notebook. Or maybe I'll just chuck all the entries into my PDA phone. For the trip to Wuhan and Guilin, I have friends there who can provide me with lodgings. So I'll be able to save quite a decent amount on lodgings.

Sad enough, the countries that I've been to are Thailand's Hatyai and Singapore. Especially Singapore, I grew up in that country. Whatever you asked me about Singapore, I can tell you straight. Be it food or where to go for cheap shopping.

As for Hatyai, it can only be girls, girls and more girls. Very cheap somemore. As for the food, it can be quite a shock for me as I'm a choosey eater. I've gathered some amount of information since my last trip there. I believed that my next trip there will be much more enjoyable. Doing things that I had missed out during the last trip.

I've already had the necessary items ready like a digital camera, a triband phone, a charger converter, a personal hygiene kit and a very new passport which will expire in 2011. The only thing that I'll need is a more decent backpack. One which is large enough for me to carry at least 6 sets of clothings. Some memory cards for my PDA and digital camera. And a decent amount of money. (^^)

But first, I'll need to confirm whether I can join Uncle Nick and the others for the trip to Langkawi in May. From my point of view, I think I can join them if everything goes smoothly as I'd planned.

As for now, I might be going down to Singapore in February before Chinese New Year if time and wallet permits. Hopefully I can do some shopping while I'm there.

Now, I'll draw up a list of things which I'll need, like extra batteries for my phone and camera and some other things which I might need while travelling.

And I need to try my tripod for my camera nowadays when I'm free.

Return Of The Condor Heroes

I must watch this version. Compared to the Andy Lau's version, the graphics are much much more better.

Upcoming Sony Ericsson Phone?

Is this in production or just a prototype product?

Best Song Ever

Listen to the lyrics carefully. Its very meaningful. Definitely one of my favorite song.

What A Name

They are rich and they are not afraid of the copyright infringement act in Malaysia. Wait till Blizzard take action against them.I wonder whether do they have another branch named "Starcraft Internet Cafe" around.

Time For BBQ

Finally, my problems has been settled. I can now plan for BBQ. Come to think of it, our way of doing BBQ, in fact too cheesy, I might say. What we did is that we always had the same food, same style. Too old school. What we ate are always just out from the package. No marinating, just straight from the package.

The things that we had are normal sausages, flavored sausages, chicken wings skewered to a BBQ fork and place it over the fire. Burnt or undercooked food is common for us. We are too amateur.

After BBQed a few times with my friends, I can say that I had a little knowledge of how we can prepare more different varieties of food, including vegetables. And it'll cost only a fraction of what we did previously. But preparation of food can be very very tedious. I expected it to take 1-2 days.

I don't mind preparing them, I just want everyone to participate to make things easier. Not someone who just wait to eat, giving complains.

We'll make the food all bite size, easy to cook and fast to eat. Not like having to wait for 20mins for the chicken wings to be cook. I want to make the food like satay sticks.

So now, I'm going to simply put down all the food that we can have.
  • Beef
  • Pork
  • Potatoes
  • Chicken
  • Unshelled Prawns
  • 9 Choi
  • Bacon..????
And if we are going to Bagan Lalang, we can have extras like mussels, fish, stingray, etc. If we are going to go there, we must have some seasoning sauces like chili powder, HoiSin sauce, XO sauce, to be spread onto the fish before we steam it.

Damn, makes my mouth water already. I still cannot forget the fish that I had when I was there in November. The texture is smooth like taufu.

Anyway those who are interested can submit their names to me now.

I'll need to plan for the dates later.

Interesting Fact

Do you know that your forearm has almost the same length as your feet? I've got a picture to prove it.

Yup, that's my feet. Try it out yourself. Extra care has to be taken so that you don't hurt yourself in the process.

First Illness Of The Year

CB, what a way to start the new year, body allergy. Now my hands are scratching my butt. I believe among us I'm the only one who is really lucky in a way. To have my ass itching the whole night is really some way to celebrate the new year. Could it be something that I'd ate? The only food that I had consumed for these 2 days are fried spaghetti , Big Mac, fries, chicken chop, some sotong, a can of Heineken, tim sum. Previously, whenever I consume all these , my body does not seems have any problems.

What the HELL happened? I think I'm getting old.

I think after my allergy is healed, I'll try another can of Heineken to see if it is really the cause of the problem.

CB!!!!!
